Introduction to Gel Plate Printing
Gel Plate Mono-printing is relatively new and quickly becoming a very popular art/craft trend. Karelyn has been printing with the Gel Plate for the last 2 years and has a wide variety of techniques and processes to teach. After the course, participants can use their prints as unique artworks, gifts, greeting cards, bookmarks, gift tags etc.
Participants will learn how to:
- make original monoprints using acrylic paints on the gel plate.
- use a variety of printing techniques using stencils, masks, texture plates and stamps.
- learn simple colour theory.
- create multi-layered prints using registration technique.
- work with transparent colour layering.
- enhance their prints using acrylic paint pens and fine liner.
- use finished prints to create gift bags, bookmarks, gift tags, framed artwork or collage.
All materials will be provided with the opportunity of purchasing a kit at the end of the course.
