Vermont South Neighbourhood House is here for you—a welcoming, inclusive hub where you can connect with others, learn something new, and take part in local opportunities that support your wellbeing. Whether you’re new to the area, returning to study or hobbies, looking to meet people, or simply wanting to do more of what makes you feel good, this is where you belong.
When you walk through our doors, you’re not expected to “fit in” or already know someone. You can come as you are. However you choose to take part, you’ll be supported by friendly staff and facilitators who understand that community is built one connection at a time.
Join our classes and activities to build confidence, learn practical skills, and stay active in a friendly, supportive environment. From adult education and general interest topics to art, craft, and health and wellbeing sessions, there’s something to suit different interests, goals, and experience levels—no pressure, just a welcoming place to learn, create, and connect.
Need a local space for a meeting, program, or community gathering? Vermont South Neighbourhood House offers room hire options with a welcoming setting and flexible arrangements to suit different group sizes and purposes.
Volunteering is a great way to get involved, meet people, and support your community. We offer opportunities like garden and other maintenance, IT support, social group and more. Whether you can offer a regular commitment or help when you’re available, there are meaningful ways to contribute and be part of what we do.
The Vermont South Neighbourhood House offers a free, drop-in Justice of the Peace (JP) document signing service. The service helps community members with statutory declarations, certified copies, and affidavits. No appointment is necessary, but you should bring your original documents and photo ID.
The JP service runs on Tuesdays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm (during school terms).
Vermont South Neighbourhood House offers free, community-based tech help sessions to help you troubleshoot devices, improve your digital skills, and navigate technology with confidence.
Free tech help sessions are available on Mondays from 10:00am to 11:00am (during school terms).
